PERRY HENZELL
One of the most important guests at the 2006 Toronto International Film Festival was Perry Henzell, recognized as the key pioneer of the Jamaican film industry. The veteran writer/director/novelist/journalist, best known for his groundbreaking 1972 debut, The Harder They Come recently succumbed to cancer, just one day before the Jamaican premiere of his second feature film, No Place Like Home.
